Dr. Thomas Steding
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Thomas Steding serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Red Condor. He brings nearly four decades of technology industry experience to Red Condor, including serving as CEO of eight high tech companies and Chairman of several others. Tom brings extensive experience in the security industry - as founding CEO of Pretty Good Privacy, Inc., an Internet encryption company; and CEO of RedCreek Communications, a virtual private network company. Overall, Tom's leadership has resulted in nearly $100 million in committed venture capital and more than half a billion dollars in capital transactions. Tom earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s of Science in Management (Sloan Fellow) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is the co-author of “Built on Trust – How to Gain Competitive Advantage in Any Organization.” 

Kip Quackenbush
Vice President of Sales

Kip Quackenbush is responsible for Red Condor's global sales operations. He most recently was Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Akonix Systems, a security and compliance company for instant messaging, where he grew the customer base from 300 to over 2,500 that led to a successful acquisition by Quest Software. Prior to Akonix, Kip was the Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Commerce One, one of the pioneers in e-commerce and e-marketplace solutions. Kip brings over 25 years of executive level leadership in sales, business development, marketing, field operations from organizations including Excalibur Technologies, Oracle, Digital Equipment Corporation and Pacific Bell. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley and resides in San Diego, CA.

Jim Sackman
Vice President of Engineering

Jim Sackman heads up engineering and product development. He brings nearly 25 years experience in hardware, embedded software, networking architecture and strategic product marketing to Red Condor. His background spans executive-level engineering and management roles in global telecommunications, enterprise data communications, and information technology. A seasoned manager of complex engineering projects, Jim has brought many successful business-to-business products to market, including Enterprise T-1 equipment, ATM switches, IPTV routers, and FTTH (fiber to the home).

Before joining Red Condor, Jim served five years as vice president of product strategy for Tellabs and four years as chief technical officer for Advanced Fiber Communications (AFC), which Tellabs acquired in 2004. He joined AFC in 1997 as director of hardware engineering, after working as director of engineering at RACAL-DATACOM, an early enterprise data communications equipment provider.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He holds four U.S. patents for inventions in the field of networking hardware infrastructure.

Tim McAllister
Vice President of Customer Support

Tim McAllister is responsible for customer support and network operations at Red Condor. He has more than 17 years experience as founding, operating and financing of various emerging companies. As the founder of Emergent Capital Group, Tim helped early-stage companies develop their strategic focus and financing objectives. In 1996, he co-founded BroadLink Communications, Inc. and led its financing efforts, raising $24 million in a combination of private equity and convertible debt. He led the corporate and business development efforts with both MCI and EarthLink, culminating in key customer relationships and market trials. Prior to founding BroadLink, Tim served in senior management positions with various wireless telecommunications providers and other start-up companies.

Linda Hayes
Chief Marketing Officer

Linda Hayes is responsible for Red Condor's marketing and product management. She was most recently Chief Operating Officer for FusionOne overseeing worldwide sales, marketing, finance, customer support, and data center operations. Linda brings nearly 20 years of executive management experience from organizations including Andale, General Magic, Pretty Good Privacy, Novell, Zenith Data Systems, and Motorola. Linda has been recognized with numerous industry awards.
